Hero’s EV brand Vida has launched the all-new Vida VX2, an affordable, family-oriented electric scooter targeted at urban commuters. Available in two variants—Go and Plus—the VX2 comes with flexible battery options and a stylish new design. Prices for the Go variant start at Rs 59,490 (ex-showroom, Delhi) with the Battery as a Subscription (BaaS) plan, going up to Rs 1.10 lakh for the Plus model without BaaS.
Vida VX2 range, battery and charging details
The Vida VX2 is offered with two battery packs. The Go variant uses a 2.2kWh unit and offers a claimed IDC range of 92km. The Plus version comes with a larger 3.4kWh battery offering 142km of range. Charging times vary between the two; the Go takes around 3 hours and 53 minutes with the standard 580W charger, while the Plus takes 5 hours and 39 minutes. Both variants support fast charging as well.
With the BaaS model, users lease the battery separately. Hero claims a running cost of just Rs 0.96/km, and if battery health drops below 70 percent, it will be replaced free of charge.
Design and features aimed at family use
The VX2 adopts a new design more suited for families, featuring a flat single-piece seat, a pillion backrest, and smoother lines compared to the earlier V2 model. Both variants have 12-inch wheels, while braking setup differs slightly—the Go variant gets drum brakes, while the Plus may have a more advanced setup.
Differences extend to displays as well. The Go features a 4.3-inch LCD, while the Plus gets a TFT display. Riding modes also vary, with Eco and Ride modes on the Go, and an additional Sport mode on the Plus.
Vida VX2 variants, top speed and pricing
The Go variant of the Vida VX2 has a top speed of 70kph, while the Plus reaches 80kph. Boot space is 33.2 litres on the Go, which is more than the Plus due to the dual battery configuration in the latter.
The scooter is offered in seven colours, including blue, black, yellow, red, white, grey, and orange—the last two exclusive to the Plus model.
