Nothing Phone 3 Gets OS 3.5 Update With Glyph Interface Enhancements and Caller ID Feature
Nothing OS 3.2 Update Also Rolls Out to Phone 2 With Hotspot Manager and Bug Fixes

Nothing Technology has rolled out a major software update for its latest smartphone, the Nothing Phone 3, introducing a range of enhancements with the launch of Nothing OS 3.5. The update brings a new Caller ID feature for the Glyph Interface, camera upgrades, a more advanced Essential Space, and system optimisations. Alongside this, the Nothing Phone 2 is receiving the Nothing OS 3.2 update, which introduces a new Hotspot Manager tool and fixes several bugs.
Nothing Phone 3 Update: Key Features in OS 3.5
As announced on the Nothing Community forum, the Nothing Phone 3 update carries firmware version 250711-2047 and introduces new capabilities to the Glyph Interface, camera, and system performance.
One of the most significant features is the Glyph Interface Caller ID. Users can now long-press the capacitive Glyph button during a call to see the caller’s name or number displayed on the Glyph Matrix at the rear of the device. The update also introduces a customisable Essential Notification system, allowing users to pick from preset or custom icons on the rear circular screen.
Additionally, Nothing OS 3.5 features include:
-
Generative AI ringtones and vibration patterns
-
Glyph Matrix lighting effects for incoming calls and messages
-
Enhanced anti-mistouch response and improved stability for Glyph Toys
-
Optimised UI animations and visual responsiveness
Another standout feature is the flip-to-record option in Essential Space, letting users flip the phone face down and press the Essential Key to record meeting notes, which are automatically organised as to-dos.
Nothing Phone 3 Camera Enhancements
With the Nothing Phone 3 OS 3.5 update, camera performance also sees notable improvements. Nothing claims optimisations for HDR, NightMode, and Snapshot photos on both front and rear cameras. The changes aim to deliver improved brightness gradation, reduced noise, and more vivid colours.
In video recording, HDR rendering has been improved for smoother highlight-to-shadow transitions and better dynamic range. Nothing also says that the update enhances performance in certain games — including a top Battle Royale title at 120 FPS — and reduces Wi-Fi latency during gaming sessions.
System Optimisations and Bug Fixes
The update also resolves key system issues on Nothing Phone 3:
-
Abnormal battery percentage display during full charge
-
Noise artifacts during spatial audio toggles
-
Slow or intermittent charging issues
-
Enhanced Pocket Mode for preventing accidental screen touches
However, the company notes that the phone may temporarily heat up and consume more battery during the update process, which is expected to normalise afterward.
Nothing OS 3.2 Update for Phone 2
Alongside the flagship update, Nothing Phone 2 users are getting the Nothing OS 3.2 update, carrying firmware version 250708-2227. The headline feature is the Hotspot Manager, which allows users to manage all connected devices from their hotspot settings.
Additional Nothing Phone 2 OS 3.2 features include:
-
Android June security patch
-
Fix for rare Gallery app crashes
-
Fix for UI glitches in certain apps
-
Enhanced overall system stability
The update is currently rolling out in phases and will be available to all eligible devices over the coming days.
